Ahhhhh a BSA Victor, also known as a 441, also known as a B44 VS, also known as a Big Thumper! This one has a special place in my heart cause when I was a kid, I bought a BSA 250 single thumper with my paper route money…. This was what I wanted but never could afford it. The 250 I bought cost me $150.00. Sorry, once again, I digress.

If you are looking for a really nice, numbers matching bike at a reasonable price you may have just found your next acquisition. Lovingly restored this one had residence with the Ohio Valley BSA Owners Club and was actually one of their raffle bikes a few years ago. I'd never claim to be a BSA expert but I do know the difference between good quality and something that was thrown together for sale. We regularly buy the first and really try to forgo the second- this is a very nice quality bike. The pictures are an excellent representation.

One very small ding in the tank, you can't hardly see it until we point it out (we will have our paintless dent guy look at it and we are betting he can take care of it), and a couple of minor paint rubs a chrome imperfections but for the most part I'd call this bike a solid #2 plus. Is it stone perfect, no, but very few classics we have ever owned are, but this one is really nice and is a bike you can be proud of. Check out the number stamps on the engine and the stamp on the frame- textbook BSA including where the assembly line worker lightly stamped a two as the last number before he remembered this was bike 2206 so he did what they did back in the day- stamped the 6 over it. Perhaps a Smithwicks or two too many the night before? (Yes, before you start calling and writing I know Smithwicks is Irish- happens to be one of my all-time favorites).

Take a good look at the pictures- what they show is what this bike is.

Drive it, show it, keep it in a bubble and polish it as a prized possession, the choice is yours once you make it yours.
