Sunnyside Chevrolet of Elyria, Ohio in conjunction with Greg's Sports, Classic, & Muscle is proud to offer for sale this beautiful 1965 Buick Wildcat Custom Convertible.
Can you say original? Can you say survivor? Can you say original survivor? Well if you can say it, we can deliver it in this absolutely beautiful Wildcat Convertible. With long term ownership and care (the gentleman we purchased this beauty from bought it in 1994) this car is simply one of the nicest untouched cars from the 60's we have ever seen. Yep that is a completely original Buick Saddle Interior installed at the factory and yes that is the Sahara Mist Polly that GM applied in 1965. The only touch up we know of to the paint is a dent repair on the driver's side rear that we have a lacquer paint specialist handling in the least invasive way possible.
Having travelled just over 50K miles from brand new this car drives as one would expect a low mileage original car to drive. Its special. Powered by the venerable Buick 401 Nailhead and smooth shifting Buick trans this Wildcat goes down the road like a dream- smooth and comfortable are true to say the least.
The power convertible top was replaced in the late 90's along with the power top cylinders and the top looks and works wonderfully. The only other concessions we know of to originality is the long-term owner prior to us had the engine compartment and underside detailed at a significant expense and these appear nice today.
In 1965 there were 4616 Wildcat Convertibles produced. When you factor in base, deluxe and Custom we are sure this is one of very few Customs produced and impossible to know how many in this color combination- then let's talk about it being Factory Original. Wow.
Please know that the pictures are a very correct representation of this car. We have fully service this Wildcat in our service department and it ready to cruise.
Drive it, show it, keep it in a bubble and polish it as a prized possession, the choice is yours once you make it yours.
We stand behind our thoughts on this car by offering our travel expenses guarantee- come see the car and if we have materially misrepresented its condition we will gladly pay half of your travel expenses up to $500.00- this offer had been in place since we sold our first classic and we haven't paid the money yet…. We pride ourselves on having good cars and representing them properly.
Additional pictures and video are available, please call 440-365-7311 for more photos, information or to schedule a test drive.
