1964 Chevrolet Corvette

Sold - New York!

Sunnyside Chevrolet of Elyria, Ohio in conjunction with Greg's Sports, Classic, & Muscle is proud to offer for sale this beautiful 1964 Corvette Custom

Miss the 70's? Like the custom cars from that era? Read on. Looking for a beautiful unhit 64 coupe with a great frame? Read on. Looking for a great C2 Corvette with side pipes, a strong engine and trans, an excellent body to drive without breaking the bank? Read on….

Recently we had the privilege to purchase this 64 Vette Coupe out of long-term family ownership where the car was loved for quite a while. To speak to how this car was taken care of lets first say that the custom paint was applied in the 70's and looks like it was done a couple of years ago. The custom lacquer has held up extremely well with the even more amazing part that it is our opinion that this is an unhit, very straight virgin body. Wow. Time warp. The graphics on the hood are pretty remarkable and if not to your fancy can be blended over easily.

In looking at motivation for this Vette let's start with a 1964 327/365 horse motor with a 4112559 vin and an RE suffix- that's right 365 horsepower. The boys butt dyno's think it's making a good bit more…. The trans (M20) is the same vin as the engine so it's a matched set but not the ones that were originally in this car. We have been told, and there is some evidence, that this was originally a fuelie car. (The core support is a fuelie support and is a bit rusty but is serviceable, also has the three holes on the inner fender for the air cleaner and the long term owner believes it was a fuel car). We will leave that discussion to you Corvette experts out there.

When you drive this car it's even more impressive- quite the performer. The original VIN and Trim tag are present and the car was Silver Blue over a black interior. Chrome is very nice. We have been told that the interior took over two years to complete, also in the 70's. The car was, and is, an absolute labor of love. You would be hard pressed to find a straighter 64 coupe. Wanna change it? That's up to you, we love it for exactly what it is- a piece of our history…

Drive it, show it, keep it in a bubble and polish it as a prized possession, the choice is yours once you make it yours.

We stand behind our thoughts on this car by offering our travel expenses guarantee- come see the car and if we have materially misrepresented its condition we will gladly pay half of your travel expenses up to $500.00- this offer had been in place since we sold our first classic and we haven't paid the money yet…. We pride ourselves on having good cars and representing them properly.
