SOLD FLORIDA!!
Sunnyside Chevrolet of Elyria, Ohio in conjunction with Greg's Sports, Classic, & Muscle is proud to offer for sale this beautiful 1976 Triumph TR6!
This is a nice, driver quality TR6 that is correctly restored to its door tag with British Racing Green paint (code 75) and its correct Beige Interior (code 74). This is a good running a driving car and will be fully serviced by our shop.
It's getting more and more difficult to find a nice TR6 in this price range- it seems to us, based on the cars we have looked at and owned, that a TR6 with many needs is a 10 to 12K car today and a perfect car can sell in the upper 30's. We have sold in both ends of that spectrum and we find these middling cars to be nice values in the market.
This 6 has a very nice, correct interior that was most likely restored a while ago. We see no major flaws or imperfections but there is some wear- it's not brand new nor is it tired or beat. As you can see in the photos the top is a correct reflective stripe top and its condition follows that of the interior.
The engine compartment is neat and tidy just as the photos show and it is the way we like them- nothing is quite as off-putting for us as when you open the hood (excuse me bonnet) on a 6 and see black paint, or worse yet, rustproofing sprayed all over the engine compartment. They were body-colored from the factory and that's the way we like them.
The paint, in our estimation, is a B minus job done to a driver quality, we have wet sanded many of the top flats and they present nicely. A bit more effort could be made on the sides if the new owner is so inclined. Don't get us wrong the car presents nicely for local shows and enjoyment it's just not a Pebble Beach lawn type car. The paint is a correct single stage BRG.
The one area on the car that can use some improvement, if the new owner wishes, are the bumpers. These are presentable but tired and we will leave the importance of the condition of the bumpers to the next caretaker. If shiny nice bumpers are important to you and you have no desire to take that project on, we can have these rechromed nicely and ready to go in a few weeks. Cost would be 800 for both bumpers.
If you are looking for a very nice car to drive and enjoy this may very well be your 6. If you are looking for a garage queen or a project this car will suggest you keep looking for something more suitable to your tastes.
Drive it, show it, keep it in a bubble and polish it as a prized possession, the choice is yours once you make it yours.
We stand behind our thoughts on this car by offering our travel expenses guarantee- come see the car and if we have materially misrepresented its condition we will gladly pay half of your travel expenses up to $500.00- this offer had been in place since we sold our first classic and we haven't paid the money yet…. We pride ourselves on having good cars and representing them properly.
