OK let's start with the door tag- 67 Convertible with the C code 289 2V engine. 76C for standard trim, I code paint, Lime Gold, 4U Parchment Bench interior. Power steering, tilt wheel, and working power top.

We bought this car out of a fairly long slumber, put in a fresh battery, the gas tank was new, installed a fuel pump and fresh gas, and freed the brakes up. She starts and sounds good and runs and stops. I drove this Stang around the block and it seems fine but I would not deem it ready for a distance run until she's sorted a bit.

The paint on this old girl is what can best be termed a 20-footer- I'd call it C minus. If you're looking for a driver the paint is serviceable as is the chrome and interior. Does the car have rust- yes, the underside has been shored up but there is rust present in the sills, and other areas. Seems to us that the difference between this 67 Vert and a lot we see is this one is missing the three obligatory cans of rust proofing trying to cover up the underside- we just don't play that we call them as we see them. Check out the photos they are an accurate representation.

The top works great, the doors open and close as they should (not pinched), the motor is quiet, the trans seems to shift just fine and the brakes stop the car.

If you are looking for an affordable driver that you can bring along if you'd like this may well be your car. If you looking for excellent to perfect we think this one is not for you - those cars typically sell for 25K and up.

Drive it, show it, keep it in a bubble and polish it as a prized possession, the choice is yours once you make it yours.
