We just acquired this beautiful Split Window from Bob in Phoenix. For the record Bob was the third owner of this car and he had it since 1997! We know this because Bob had the history of the car having spoken to the original owner from late 62 till 1982, also the second owner from 82 to 97. Man, we love an ownership history like that. We have some paperwork to substantiate the history including a copy of the original purchase agreement.

When Bob got this beauty in 97 it was time for a refresh…. while the car was originally silver blue over black Bob wanted a Riverside Red car and had it done accordingly. No harm no foul in the change and with the correct black interior this Split is stunning. I'd challenge you to look at the quality of the finish and paint on this car and then tell me it looks 20 plus years old. Is it perfect- nope – is it really, really nice- yep it sure is. Great shine, great depth, great consistency and worthy of a high-quality driver that will be welcome at any car show. Bob commissioned wonderful work and it has more than stood the test of time.

The original numbers matching engine is present and runs very strong. We have not checked the trans as of yet but have been told it is original. It feels like when the engine was gone thru the horsepower may have been tweaked a bit from its original 250 build. Air-conditioning is absolutely essential if you are going to drive a coupe in Phoenix and Bob added a nicely working add on unit. Its operation has been or will be verified in the full service we perform on this Split.

The interior, chrome, and cosmetics are all very nice and will again make this a car anyone would be proud to own.

In 2019 it was decided that the old girl needed a bit of attention underneath and in the engine compartment. Over the next year or so over $36,000 was invested in this Stingray. Brakes, bearings, stabilizer links, carb work, trailing arms, bushings, belts, coil, driveshaft balance, tires, alignment, plugs, wires, strut rods, steering column bearings, trans seal, heat risers, hoses, and more than we can possibly list- we have the receipts. The underside and engine compartment are nicely detailed and very tidy and refreshed. Lots of dollars spent.

If you are looking for an extremely nice, well sorted car that will hold its own at most shows and you want one that's had recent work to bring it to a great level this may well be your next car.
