Yep, that's right, a real 69 GTO Ram Air 4. One of 549 built by Pontiac in 1969. Wanna talk about rare, this is it. Let's first consider that base price for this beauty in 69 was $3,156- then let's look at $558.20 for the Ram Air IV option- that's right the engine choice was almost 18% of the base cost of the car. Not many folks checking that box in 69 based on cost alone but boy o boy what an option. 370 horsepower and 445-pound feet of torque. Then of course we are not gonna back that beast with any automatic trans- no sir lets go 4-speed close ratio. Is there really any other choice? We all know that some folks picked the auto- wrong choice.

To round out the equipment listed on the ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER we have a Cordova top, Safe-T-Track differential, special order axel (4.33) cause we are gonna leave the line fast fast fast. Next, we will add a push button radio, rear defogger, and a rally gauge cluster with tach. A remote deck lid release and 621 springs and shocks round out the equipment on this GTO.

This car has been painstakingly nut and bolt restored to a very high level. While the block is not the original to the car (imagine that -lets just tell the truth instead of restamping it- aren't we all tired of “its stamped properly but…” ) the remainder of the engine components are original to the car per the restorer. This GTO has been done to a very high level with an eye on originality- we were also told a lot of NOS parts were sourced for the restoration and we believe it. We have some very nice docs with the car- Original Window Sticker, copy of the build sheet, a photo of the car with the original owner and some ownership transfer docs. It's imperative, in our opinion, to have documents to support a car of this caliber. Documented is documented and anything else is the figment of someone's imagination in their garage….
