Sunnyside Chevrolet of Elyria, Ohio in conjunction with Greg's Sports, Classic, & Muscle is proud to offer for sale this beautiful 1965 Corvair Monza Convertible 4-speed!!!
What could be better in the Corvair world than a Monza Convertible with a 4-speed and bucket seats? Before you say Turbo think about that for a second...GM, Turbo, 1965-think I want a 140 horse Monza thank you.
This is one nice, solid and presentable Monza convertible. Having been in the hands of one of our technicians' wives for the last couple of years we know that this one has been well taken care of. We have done our normal inspection and all is well. I just finished a 15-minute drive and would like to report that this old Corvair goes down the road quite nicely with an engine that pulls strong (all 140 Monza HP), is smooth shifting, brakes well and straight and rides very solid with no noticeable creaks or groans. This car puts a smile on my face and is the type of old car that says- I'm good and I'm ready to roll.
The interior is nice, the top is serviceable but certainly not new- who's ever gonna put that top up? If you do, shame on you but if you do get caught in a rainstorm it the top will keep the rain off your melon and the interior dry. Nuff said.
Without any mods this is a straight looking and performing Corvair, even down to the correct factory hubcaps. In a market where we see these cars priced at17,18, even 20K we have aggressively priced this car to sell. Understand that the paint is what we would call serviceable- looks great from 15 or 20 feet and when you get up on it you will see imperfections, a few thin areas and an older job. If you are looking for the perfect Monza Convertible you will need to up you budget considerably from this car. If you want a great car to knock around in- come on in the water is fine here.
Drive it, show it, keep it in a bubble and polish it as a prized possession, the choice is yours once you make it yours.
We stand behind our thoughts on this car by offering our travel expenses guarantee- come see the car and if we have materially misrepresented its condition we will gladly pay half of your travel expenses up to $500.00- this offer had been in place since we sold our first classic and we haven't paid the money yet…. We pride ourselves on having good cars and representing them properly.
