How can this be you ask? Read on....

Its 1969 and our Ohio Serviceman comes back from we all know where...he did his duty. Just like so many others have done for our great country for years. We owe them all an unpayable gratitude. This is his car.

Upon his return in 69 he decides that it's time for a brand-new Corvette. He drives from the far eastern area of Northern Ohio to Ed Stinn Chevrolet in Rocky River, Ohio. Ed was well known and the self-proclaimed “Largest Chevy Dealer in Ohio” in those days. Our intrepid serviceman walks on the lot and tells us there are about 30 Corvettes in inventory (times have changed a little huh?). He walks around and picks out the very car you see here, does his paperwork and heads home in it. Over the next couple of years, the car is cherished and little used...then life hits- you know the routine- marriage, kids and the vette gets parked in 73 in his dad's garage. The next time the car sees the light of day is when we purchase it and pull it out from under its covers. That's right, hadn't been out of the garage in 48 YEARS.

We gently help him uncover the car and are totally amazed at what we see. ORIGINAL- 100 PERCENT. Down to the green semi clear mudflaps he had installed. The 1973 Ohio plates are present. The odometer reveals 4,497 miles, the Protectoplate in its original paper folder is there. The original Ohio yellow title is there. The excitement is palpable. What a car. What a gentleman.

We have chosen to not even wash off the dirt or the grease protectant he put on all the chrome and most of the trim including the wheel trim rings. We are offing this Vette in as found, untouched condition. Want to make it an unbelievable display in your vette collection? Buy it and leave it just as it is. Want to clean it and polish it and display it? Buy it and feel free. Want to get it back on the road mechanically? Buy it and do it. Want to take it to Bloomington and get every Survivor Award they offer? Knock yourself out. These are not decisions for us to make but rather for the next caretaker.

Where in the world are you gonna find another one? If you have read and looked this far you know exactly how rare it is to come across a car like this. We have our opinions about what should be done with this incredible find but we will keep them to ourself and let the next caretaker determine this 69's direction.
